Event recap: tools for digital health in London


This spring, Health Navigator founder and CEO Dr. David Thompson presented at the Digital Health Congress in London. Dr. Thompson shared clinical vignettes and participated in a panel discussion about the digital health market. His session reviewed workflows and data from a medical call center, telemedicine intake, and a health bot with symptom checker.

Health Navigator provides SOAP format for clinical content


We are excited to share that Health Navigator’s clinical content is available in SOAP (Subjective, Objective, Assessment, and Plan) format. SOAP is a method of organizing medical documentation used by healthcare providers. Well-documented SOAP notes:

  • Improve patient care.
  • Allow physicians to communicate important clinical information.
  • Capture quality indicators and process measures.
  • Optimize reimbursement from insurers.

A single API call will provide the relevant Health Navigator clinical concepts to populate all sections of a SOAP note in a telemedicine platform.

We know documentation is a major part of a clinician’s job, and we aim to make that job easier with this latest update. Clinical content can be displayed in a familiar and common format that allows clinicians to see and take notes in a patient’s chart for digital encounters the same way they would for in-person visits.

New triage dispositions

We have updated the Health Navigator triage engine by expanding the number of possible triage dispositions from 9 to 14.

New telehealth device feature

Health Navigator also recently added the capability to help determine the best and most appropriate telehealth devices for a patient to use during a telemedicine intake process. A telemedicine company may encourage patients to use connected telehealth devices such as a heart rate monitor or otoscope during the intake process. For example, a patient with throat pain would be encouraged to use the throat exam camera and provide a temperature. A list of telehealth-appropriate devices is returned based on symptoms or clinical concepts. Learn more about our latest update.
