The sophisticated Health Navigator platform is built on a comprehensive database of clinical codes and analytic tools that help capture, organize and present a better, faster diagnosis and potential care path for eHealth consumers and companies – from the presenting chief complaint to the final diagnosis.
Why It Matters
A growing number of people are choosing eHealth encounters to avoid costly office visits or emergency care centers. Meanwhile, others are looking for more convenient ways to access health information that fits their lifestyle and schedule. In fact, it’s estimated that the number of consumers who use eHealth technologies will grow from 14.3 million in 2014 to 78.5 million by 2020, according to market intelligence firm, Tractica. Such factors are driving a need for a better, more accurate and efficient digital diagnostic experience that can be seamlessly integrated into a variety of care delivery systems.
Health Navigator Platform
Four proprietary databases make up Health Navigator:
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Converts “consumer speak” text into coded chief complaints (i.e., headache, fever, dizziness) and rates symptoms by acuity to support a more accurate and safe triage process.
- Documentation Support (CDS): Provides supporting information related to the chief complaint and delivers a more in-depth set of questions for providers and patients.
- Triage Level of Care (TLC) Engine: Provides triage disposition recommendations based on the patient’s presenting complaint and available clinical documentation.
- Diagnosis Engine (DXE): Takes NLP and supporting clinical data and delivers differential diagnoses, ranked by likelihood, and recommendations related to sources of care, specialists, Internet resources and references. The interface is interactive for patients and can be customized.
Health Navigator can provide solutions for eHealth and telemedicine companies, insurers, hospitals and health care systems, mobile applications, electronic health records and nurse advice lines.
